Life isn’t about following a rulebook.
Maybe you don’t want to have a soul-sucking job.
Maybe you want to start a side hustle.
Maybe you want to travel and explore.
Maybe you don’t want to work a dreadful 16 hour day.
Maybe you want more time to see your friends and family.
Society tells us it is wrong to want heart-busting enthusiasm, time AND money, passion for what we do, and to feel overjoyed for our lives every single day.
After all, isn’t that selfish to want all of that?
And anyone who tells you otherwise can shove it.
Sounds enticing? Good. You’ve come to the right place.
Rethink the Rulebook is all about challenging the status quo, turning off the part of your brain that judges you, and turning up the volume on the part of your brain that is screaming, “IS THIS ALL THERE IS TO LIFE?!”
That was me for 99% of my life. When I reflected on my life and tried to figure out what on earth I actually wanted to do with my life and how I could escape the path society has set up for me, I realized all the times I broke the supposed “rules” I was truly happy.
The societal routine of birth–>school–>college–>work–>babies–>retirement–>death wasn’t what I wanted.
So, pull up a chair, pour a glass of wine (although I prefer rum), subscribe, and join the party.
